Emerson

Emerson has been dancing since she was 3. At age 6 she told her mom and dad that dance was her passion and she wanted to audtion for her studio's dance team. She began competing when she was 7 years old. During that time her training included ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and technique. Emerson moved from Maryland to Texas in August of 2022 where she joined the convention team at Balance Dance Studios. She expanded her training to include lyrical, contemporary, ballroom, commercial and acro. In 2023, she was asked to join Austin Youth Classical Ballet and increase her ballet training. In addition, she performed as the junior snow queen in the Nut Cracker. In the spring of 2024, she audtioned for the Bee Cave Middle School Raider Royalty and made the team. In the Fall of 2024 she moved to Body Lab to continue growing her technique and love for dance, and was approved for pointe. Emerson has enjoyed her first year at Body Lab and is excited to continue her time outside of school dancing. She loves going to conventions and some of her favorites include Tremaine, ASH, Streetz and Dance Makers. Outside of dance she loves to hang out with friends, travel to the beach and the ski slopes, spend time with family, and shop. She's excited for her first year as a Body Lab Junior Intern.
