Kennedy Paige DeCoux was born and raised in Austin and has been dancing since she was two years old. She began training with Heather O'Hara at the age of six and began participating in dance competitions when she was 7. Kennedy has won numerous regional and national titles under the direction of Heather as well as many judges' choice and specialty awards. Kennedy has participated as a Celebrity dance competition Jr. Crew member for nationals where she got to perform in their opening and closing show. In 2015-2017 Kennedy was a Tremaine dance company apprentice where she assisted top choreographers around the country including Keri LaGrand, Toni Bellisimo, Meagan Sanett, Tiffany Maher, Derrick Schraeder, and Laurie Johnson. As a Tremaine apprentice member, she also performed in Tremaine dance conventions opening and closing shows.
Kennedy began training in aerial Lyra at the age of 12 with Heather O'Hara and has performed as an aerialist at The Radio City Rockettes reunion, Dance to Breathe, Revolve Austin, Body Labs Christmas Spectacular, and numerous spring shows. In 2019-2021 Kennedy performed in Austins Dance Project shows in contemporary, musical theater, jazz, and heels style routines. When Body Lab opened Kennedy was one of their first interns, she interned from 2016 to 2019 and has been on staff since 2018 when she took over Body Labs Beg/Int aerial classes.
