Amelia Famularo-Gleason (she/her) is a working professional performer, choreographer, and educator.
A “New York-Texan”, Amelia was born in Massapequa Park, NY before relocating to Lakeway, TX. Growing up she spent time harvesting her artistry in dance, voice, and musical theatre training. She began dancing at age three and when she moved to Lakeway in 2006, she continued her dance education at multiple studios in the Austin, Texas area including TexARTS Academy, 620 Dance Centre, Balance Dance Studios, and studied privately with Heather O’Hara. She was a founding member of the Lake Travis Middle School Jazz Company and continued her dancing as a drill team member of the Lake Travis High School Cavalettes for four years and served as Senior Lieutenant her senior year. She participated in the LTISD Choral Program throughout middle school and high school, was a member of LTHS Varsity Choir for three years, and served as Social Officer her senior year.

She is a graduate of Texas Tech University, from which she holds a Bachelors of Arts in Dance and a Minor in Studies in Finance. While at Texas Tech, Amelia received the prestigious J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Art “Dancer of the Year” award. She was also a member of the TTU Pom Squad, President of the University Dance Company, and an Ambassador for the College of Theatre & Dance. Amelia now resides in Austin, Texas where she is the Studio Director of Body Lab- the Dance, Aerial, & Fitness Studio.

Amelia traveled across the world as a Select Artist Ensemble and Aerialist on the Norwegian Spirit with Creative Studios by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings and performed at the Circuits of the Americas Peppermint Parkway. Formerly a member of Austin’s Heels & Hip Hop Company, Bomb Squad, she has also performed as a backup performer for artist Charli Babi at SXSW Film Festival. Amelia has performed at the Macy’s Day Parade with Broadway Dance, the Rose Bowl Parade with HTE Dance, Dallas Cowboys Stadium for Lake Travis High School State Championship football games and Texas Tech University vs. Baylor University football games, opened for the National Tour of Radio City Rockettes “Radio City Christmas Spectacular,” opened for the San Antonio Spurs Basketball, Texas Tech Fall Dance Festival, and the American Dance College Association Conferences.

In addition to her career as a performer, Amelia is also a teacher, director and choreographer. She is currently on the faculty at Body Lab in Spicewood, Texas and guest teaches at local High School and Middle Schools in the Austin areas. She is director of Body Lab Performance Academy, Body Lab Hip Hop Companies, and Commercial Company. As a choreographer, her dance works have been performed at the South Central-American College Dance Association Conference, regional and national dance competitions, for film projects, and most recently Body Lab’s Christmas Spectacular. Amelia offers private lessons in a variety of genres from mentor/coaching sessions to audition prep work, or helping dancing improve their overall technique. Amelia teaches all styles and age groups, however her joy is in teaching Jazz, Technique, Musical Theatre, Heels, and Aerial classes.

Some of Amelia’s favorite things in life include her Husband and partner in life Conor, their two dogs Daisy the Corgi and Winston the Schnauzer, and singing at Church with her mom. She loves to travel and spend time with her people aka her chosen family. Fitness and exercise are a huge part of her life and she loves to train in Aerial silks, trapeze, lyra, indoor cycling, pilates, and yoga. Amelia is a firm believer in choosing joy and her current motto is “Live What You Love”
