Bio
Amelia Famularo has a strong background in jazz, musical theatre, dance/drill team, contemporary, hip-hop, and sports fitness. She is originally from Massapequa Park, New York and began dancing at age three. She moved to Lakeway in 2006 and continued her dance education at multiple studios in the Austin, Texas area including TexARTS Academy, 620 Dance Centre, Balance Dance Studios, and studied privately with Heather O’Hara. She was a founding member of the Lake Travis Middle School Jazz Company and continued her dancing as a drill team member of the Lake Travis High School Cavalettes for four years and served as Senior Lieutenant her senior year. She has competed at several dance competitions and dance conventions. She has been a member of the Texas Tech University Pom Squad and was President of the Texas Tech University Dance Company. Amelia has performed at the Macy’s Day Parade with Broadway Dance, the Rose Bowl Parade with HTE Dance, Dallas Cowboy’s Stadium for Lake Travis High School State Championship football games and Texas Tech University vs. Baylor University football games, opened for the Radio City Rockettes “Radio City Christmas Spectacular,” opened for the San Antonio Spurs Basketball, Texas Tech Fall Dance Festival, and the American Dance College Association Conferences. In May 2018 Amelia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Texas Tech University and moved back to Austin, Texas.
Amelia Famularo is currently Body Lab's Office Administration Assistant and Dance Instructor for all styles of dance, technique, and fitness classes.
