Lab Tech Intern, Dance & Training for Tri-Core Trapeze
After a lifetime of dancing, Brooke Hiller has received extensive training from exceptional performers and instructors in many styles of dance including jazz, ballet, pointe, contemporary, tap, musical theatre, and hip hop. She has also been trained in several styles of aerial including aerial silks, aerial fitness, stationary and flying trapeze. As one of the original members of O’Hara Dance Agency, Brooke has numerous honors as both a soloist and team member. She is beginning her 5th year as a member of the Tremaine National Performance Company where she performs in faculty shows around the U.S. and assists the very talented Tremaine faculty. She also spent time as an assistant for Celebrity Dance Competitions where she performed and assisted in several states and on a Carnival Cruise ship. She has been a paid professional dancer/actress in a show in Austin, TX as well as a performer in an adult contemporary dance company. She is currently a staff member for American Dance/Drill Team Company where she will teach at dance team camps and work at dance competitions. Brooke has owned a small business for 5 years and has choreographed for and taught technique to individuals and teams ages 5 – 18. Brooke continued her dance training as a Dance major at Sam Houston State University in 2015-2016 and worked as a staff member at the campus Recreational Center. Her love of Austin and the dance and fitness scene in her city drew her back home to continue her rigorous dance training while pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Education majoring in Exercise Science. Brooke’s interest in the health and fitness industry has led her to become CPR, First Aid, AED, and OSHA Certified as well as being Certified as a Nurse’s Assistant. Due to her interest in the human body as it relates to dance and fitness, she was selected to shadow several local physical therapists. Brooke loves children and has experience with students of all ages by teaching dance, assisting at dance conventions, assisting Heather O’Hara at many studios in Texas. She has also been a part of the Peer Assistance and Leadership group for 2 years as a mentor of elementary and middle school students, and has worked in the children’s area at a local fitness studio. Her hobbies in addition to dancing include mountain biking, crafting, working with children, and of course making good grades in her college courses. Brooke is extremely excited to be a part of the Body Lab team and can’t wait to further her dance and fitness career while following her passion.
