Ashley Stanton is a choreographer, dancer and instructor specializing in contemporary, lyrical, technical and stylized jazz. Ashley is currently an instructor for The Peridance and her pieces have been showcased in many of New York's artist spaces, studios and venues along with regional studios based in New York, Texas, New Jersey and California. Ashley has worked with Glamour Magazing and YourSingapore.com on advertising campaigns, The Radio City Rockettes winter clinic and Breaking the Cycle a fundraiser for AIDS.
As a dancer she spent a year training in Chicago, specializing in choreography and technique, and was a participant in Broadway Dance Center's Professional Semester. Previously, Ashley was invited to dance with Naganuma Dance Company in the City Sunset Project at Alvin Ailey and performed with Brice Mousset's Contemporary Company. Most recently she was featured in Richard Linklaters "spiritual sequel" to Dazed and Confused in the film Everybody Wants Some. She has also appeared on So You Think You Can Dance for the Austin auditions and performed as lead dancer in Let it Be Christmas benefiting children in under developed countries.
Ashley danced in High School under the direction of Heather O'Hara and has since continued working along side of her. She also choreographs and instructs the O'Hara Dance Agency members. She is excited to be returning to Austin in the Fall 2016 and teach as much as she can for Body Lab.
