Beg/Int Jazz Technique (13+)

This class includes 45 mins of Jazz Technique and 1 hour of Ballet. Recommended for the beginner ballet and jazz dancer. Having some ballet training will definitely help but is not required. Start class warming up your body with a quick warm up, transition into turns/leaps technique, and occasionally learn a fast paced jazz routine. After completing jazz, you will focus on ballet fundamentals at the barre, in the center, and across the floor. 

Beg Turning Technique (All Ages)

Focusing on core, rib, upper body placement and strengthening stabilizing leg, spotting and more!

Leaps, Jumps, Tricks-Acro (Ages 11-12)

Start learning fundamentals in leap technique and learn fun new tricks every week! Increase strength and flexibility to improve acro technique as well.  Learn dance acro tricks that can be incorporated in choreographed routines.

Int Technique 

This class is designed to work on strength, flexibility, and the 'tricks' of dance. This class will build off of prior knowledge and ability to develop precision and accuracy in technical skills. Students will also work on intermediate skill combinations, multiple turn combinations and positions, chaine leaps in second, reverse illusions, leg hold turns in various combinations, among others. Improve your dance technique through this power packed class! 

Adv Technique

This class is similar to Int Technique but with a faster pace and more advanced skills. In Adv you will work on strength, flexibility, and the 'tricks' of dance. This class will build off of prior knowledge and ability to develop precision and accuracy in technical skills. Students will also work on advanced skill combinations, multiple turn combinations and positions, chaine leaps in second into other leaps , reverse illusions, switch leaps, leg hold turns in various combinations, among others. Improve your dance technique through this power packed class!

This class will focus on picking up choreography quickly, performing, musicality, dancing with dynamics along with incorporating technique.

Int Ballet/Jazz

This class includes 1 hour of Ballet and 30 minutes of Jazz. Warm your body up with Ballet Barre, Adage, Allegro, and Across the floor. After completing the hour of ballet your body will be warm and ready to transition into 30 minutes of Jazz class which will involve learning a face paced routine.

Advanced Jazz is a high energy and fast paced class. In this class you will increase strength, flexibility, and jazz technique. You will also improve on picking up choreography and performing! Get ready to sweat.

Int/Adv Ballet

This class focuses on artistic movements, musical interpretation, strength, coordination, and precision in movement. Additional exercises are learned in centre: Piqué Tour, Dégagé en Tournant, Emboîté, Pas de Chat, Pas de Basque, Pas Couru, Pas de Cheval, etc. Delivery of multiple pirouettes and tours (turns) is required. Students will be asked to perform complicated variations. 

 

Pointe Work-This is offered as a private lesson with instructor.  Will need to schedule separately with instructor.

Pointe shoes are optional! You can still take class in flats if you are not on pointe. This is great for dancers wanting to take pointe in the future!

Dancers looking to get fully prepared for your school's drill/pom team or sharpen your skills to make the desired select HS drill performance teams. Focusing on Adv Technique, High Kicks, Pom, Hip Hop, Flexibility, Tricks, Turns, Jumps and Progressions. You will definitely want to also sign up for our Summer intensive in June and July.  

Drill Team Prep

For dancers looking to get fully prepared in all styles of dance team such as technique, jazz, contemporary, kick, pom, hip hop, etc. 

Pre-Dance Team 

This will help prepare you if you are interested in trying out for MS dance team.  We work closely with HBMS, LTMS, BCMS and other schools to make sure you are prepared for tryouts.  Incorporating technique, chant techniques, kick line, pom and more!

Commercial Dance

Learn fast paced choreography, no technique. Learn what it takes to film on set for commercials.  Not only will you sharpen your skills for picking up choreography quickly, but you will also work on stamina and performance. 

"Lab" Class

Our Lab class will have a different instructor and style each week!  This is a great way to take from other incredible instructors from other studios and around Austin.  Styles: Hip Hop, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, Pom, Jazz, improv, injury prevention, foam roll/tennis ball massage. Hip Hop incorporates a variety of old and new urban dance styles. The dancing represents body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of hip hop music. Hip hop dancing is very dynamic and helps the dancers improve flexibility, develop body balance, and coordination.  May learn a variety of styles in: Waacking, Street, Jazz-Funk, House & More.  Older hip hop class may do Heels.

This class is very fast paced and advanced tap class.  Heather designs her tap classes to help dancers further their technique, musicality and style. The class focuses on floor warm-ups, across-the-floor work, combinations and choreography.  You will have some individual time as well as improvisation moments along with sequencing your own steps.

Stretch/Flexibility/Ankle Strengthening (ALL LEVELS)

This class is great for stretching and lengthening tight muscles. Stretching is important for people of all ages. One of the greatest benefits of stretching is that you’re able to increase your range of motion, which means your limbs and joints can move through a greater range, helping to ward off injury. Other benefits of stretching include reduced muscle tension, enhanced muscular coordination, increased blood circulation and higher energy levels.  Heather uses various techniques like "PNF", partnering, band work and more. She will also utilize strength exercises to increase strength in hip flexors, hamstrings, ankles and more!

Come break a sweat and have a blast in Kickboxing! Cardio Kickboxing is a fitness class that combines Martial Arts with high energy cardio.

 Dancer Strength/Conditioning involves circuit training and plyometrics that focuses on different parts of the body such as with arms, legs, and core. 

Yogilates

Yogilates

 

Yogilates is a combination of Yoga and pilates.  You will cross train between slow static yoga poses into floor strength, conditioning for upper body, core, ankle, hip flexor for an overall long lean tone.  Not only will this class make you sweat but you will increase health benefits, including stress reduction and better flexibility.  It may also help manage chronic conditions such as heart disease and high blood pressure. 

Yoga Flow & Stretch

 Start your morning off or end an exhausting day with a vinyasa flow emphasizing on deep breathing to encourage a flow of movement. After the vinyasa flow we will transition into slow and sustained stretches to increase flexibility, then closing class with a short meditation to promote positivity for the day!
